Absolutely, far more than now. We kitties even got to play with them before they were killed. The good old days.

There were lefties back then, but the troll word came along later.

Anyway, I consider trolls people who try to pretend they are with us but bring up insidious back biting stuff.

You bet there were trolls in 1998 and they WERE far worse than todays trolls. Eschoir managed to hack into FR and shut it down a few times, he showed up at THE MARCH FOR JUSTICE, he was SO bad, that Jim had to sue him. And then, there was ASH.

Later, quite a few FREEPERs turned into trolls and even when they were banned, their drooling sycophants would post long threads for them.
