Way to go, Westlander. Say it louder.

NO MORE CITGO GASOLINE AND BE SURE YOUR FUEL OIL DEALER IS NOT SELLING CITGO!

Citgo must be worried - they are starting to run commercials on conservative talk radio now promoting all their charitable works. Nothing about "hey come buy our gas" just a litany of "aren't we nice charitable folks giving lots of cheap oil to you poor folk" type stuff. Too late bozos - I boycotted Citgo along time ago.

About CITGO

From the gasoline that helps your family take vacations to the advanced medical equipment at your community hospital, CITGO is there. We know you.

It's amazing the difference petroleum-based products make in our everyday lives. Based in Houston, Texas, CITGO is a refiner and marketer of transportation fuels, lubricants, petrochemicals, refined waxes, asphalt and other industrial products. In addition to these products, there's probably a CITGO in your neighborhood, a convenient place to fill up with gas and grab a quick snack.

The company is owned by PDV America, Inc., an indirect, wholly owned subsidiary of Petróleos de Venezuela, S.A., the national oil company of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

Since 1985, CITGO has sold its various products through independent marketers. Our relationship with these people is really what makes CITGO different from other petroleum companies.

Welcome to CITGO.

Happy to say, all of my nearby gas stations who were formerly selling CITGO have switched to other brands. I hope that my personal boycott of Hugo, which started as soon as I learned of his politics, had a little to do with that.

PLUS, MAKE A POINT OF PARKING THE CAR AT ONE OF THEIR GAS STATION ISLANDS, GOING INSIDE TO THE SHOP, and TELLING THE SHOP MANAGER THAT YOU WOULD HAVE BOUGHT THERE BUT BECAUSE OF HUGO CHAVEZ YOU ARE GOING ELSEWHERE, and PROMPTLY LEAVE.

This will add extra strength to the boycott. Other people might also overhear it. The word will spread at the grassroots, certainly from the stations on up to senior management and then to Caracas. We have to get everyone in Sixpack America cognizant of the Chavez-Citgo connection, and WHY this boycott is happening.
