LOL...rog you sure did pay your dues if you remember no chow hall. I'm waiting for the rainy season so that you get all muddy to and from the showers during the walk.

My location is about 30-40 seconds from the shower, 45-60 seconds from the latrine/head/bathroom. I can just see being in a hurry and having your feet go out from under you in the mud. Might as well turn right and hit the showers and wash the mud and pee off at once.

Heh! I did that at Taji in early '05. Only I wasn't walking from the shower...I was lugging my laundry bag walking through that Iraqi mud to the laundry facility and slipped. Landed right on my keister. Had an appreciative audience, too and heard about that performance for the next few days. LOL

Went and changed clothes, added the muddy ones to the bag and then proceeded on to the laundry. Yeah, I love rainy season. (It's just around the corner....)

Are you living in a dry unit? I lived in one of those at Victory North (back before it was Liberty) before I did my tent stint at Taji.

I've got the good life now in Baghdad and you never hear me complain. It's PAVED there! ;-)
