I am already hearing rumblings, latest from Mara Liasson on Brit's show last night, of how it would be *best* if "Democrats lost the midterms" so they could be obstructionist and drive Bush crazy before the General election in 08.

They know they will lose in 2006. Just because they haven't conceded 2008 doesn't mean a thing. Offering Hillary the leadership position in the Senate so she could then use it as a springboard in 2012 has been published by the donks themselves. No way even Hillary would run against a sitting Democrat POTUS. I believe they know she cannot win in 2008, either.

Watch for them to run Finegold as a sacrificial worm. McCarthy redux.

If that sitting Democratic president is unpopular and unelectable like Jimmy Carter in 1980, I wouldn't be so sure about it.
