The future has changed for the Thai's, and you can't convince me that this coup is a good idea. It is a rejection of democracy and the beginning of a dangerous period of time for Thailand, and not a return to the good ole days.....

WTF are you talking about? Do you know anything about Thai politics at all? Do you know the last election was thrown out becuase of corruption and voting irregularities created by the (former) Prime Minister's TRT party? Do you realize the ONLY reason for the coup was the complete contempt the (former) Prime Minister showed for democracy?

Frankly, I'm tired of hearing you state that nobody knows or understands the "sitrep" in Thailand but you.

I know what I see, what I read, and the history and I am quite aware of the problems with the recently elected government.

I am also aware of the historical progressions after a young and immature democracy fails.

For Thailand to actually improve after this, it would be contrary to everything known about the subject.

It appears that like some small eastern European countries who have similar problems emerging from Communist domination, Thailand will be taking a big step backwards and will devolve in many respects.

Monarchies are not the way forward for counties as large and as developed as Thailand. It is their growing relationship with Iran and the potential and actual past technology transfers that are at the heart of this, and will also lead to Thailand's devolution and eventual isolation from the U.S. which will hurt it badly.

It is a different world, and this coup was a mistake.

Get back to me when you finally figure it out.
