I have a piano student
Rebecca (my 7 year old) want's to play the piano.
We are looking around for a used piano now. How long does it take before children decide if that is really what they want to do?
If she is going to stick with it, we'll go out and get her a good piano.

7 is a good age to start.

You should know within 6 mnonths is she's serious about it.:)

Might want to try renting something from a local music store. Terms are usually for 6 months, with option to purchase, & the 6 months rent goes toward the purcahse price.
