Pat Buchanan: Impeach Bush over illegal aliens
WorldNetDaily ^ | September 17, 2006

Republican calls president 'derelict' in duty: 'This is not Ellis Island, this is an invasion'

Author Pat Buchanan says President Bush should be impeached for failing to stop the invasion of illegal aliens across the U.S. border with Mexico.

"I think he's committed an impeachable offense in refusing to enforce the immigration laws and in failing to uphold the Constitution by defending the states against this invasion," Buchanan told radio talk-show host Curt Smith this weekend on National Public Radio stations in upstate New York.

"When you have 6 million people apprehended on the border and several million got in on your watch – and you have the ability to stop it – I think you're derelict in your duty," he said. "And if the president says 'I can't do it,' you need a new president who will do it."

"This is not Ellis Island," said Buchanan. "This is an invasion."

Buchanan, who is a WND columnist, is the author of the best-selling book, "State of Emergency: The Third World Invasion and Conquest of America." The book paints a dim portrait of America's future: "The children born in 2006 will witness in their lifetimes the death of the West."

"As Rome passed away, so, the West is passing away, from the same causes and in much the same way. What the Danube and Rhine were to Rome, the Rio Grande and Mediterranean are to America and Europe, the frontiers of a civilization no longer defended."

Buchanan follows Rep. Tom Tancredo's warning shot, "In Mortal Danger," with some sobering statistics and new ways to consider the crisis. He states:

One in every twelve people breaking into America has a criminal record.
By 2050, there will be 100 million Hispanics
concentrated in the U.S. Southwest.
Between 10 and 20 percent of all Mexicans, Central Americans and people of the Caribbean have already moved to the United States.
Every month, the U.S. Border Patrol apprehends more illegal aliens breaking into our country, 150,000, than the number of troops we have in Iraq.

"Concerned about his legacy, George W. Bush may yet live to see his name entered into the history of his country as the president who lost the American Southwest that James K. Polk won for the United States," Buchanan writes.

In addition to charging the Mexican government with plotting territorial reconquest, the former presidential candidate also says elites in Mexico and the U.S. are conspiring to erase America's borders and merge the United States and Mexico into a "North American Union."

To avert disaster, Buchanan's recipe includes:

A deportation program, beginning with all illegal aliens convicted of felonies and every gang member not a U.S. citizen.
A 10-year limit on legal immigration to between 150,000 and 250,000.
Building a security fence along the 2,000-mile border.

Buchanan points out that the illegal alien population of the U.S. today exceeds the total number of Irish, Jewish and British immigrants who ever came to the U.S.

He disputes those who contend illegal immigration has economic benefits for the U.S., saying instead the trend represents a massive drain on the economy.

"We have 'bad' Islamists invading the world, including the US, and we make hard working Christian Mexicans THE priority problem?"

Apart from the criminal and tax aspect of the issue, we are engaged in a war with an enemy who utilizes asymmetric tactics and aims to kill our civilians. Leaving the border open as it is indicates either that the WOT is not taken seriously or their are more important issues to this Administration than the war.

"Instead of hunting down Mexican illegals we should concentrate on down hunting Islamists. Especially their Stateside teachers."

How do you know there aren't Islamists among those groups of illegals? In fact, we KNOW there are. What's your position on the Administration actively bringing in more Saudi "students" and sending them to, among other things, flight training?

"Go read the rest of my posts."

I read a few.

"Gee n00b, tell me something I don't know. LOL"

After reading a few of your recent posts courtesy of your profile page, I really don't have enough time to tell you everything you don't know. Longevity on a website really doesn't mean you have more experience in a subject.

Take the blinders and the kneepads off. The stinking Commies were a far LESS threat, than the illegals were. Revisionist history is just not gonna fly around here.

Oh please. The commies make up about a third of the US. Even today, there aren't that many illegals. Besides, I was looking at it from a 1980's perspective.

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, from a 1980's perspective, when we were in the midst of the Cold War and America and the USSR were fighting by proxy only.

Pot, meet kettle. You see a few posts you don't agree with and immediately conclude said poster is a troll.

Trolls are easy to spot; especially when you know what to look for. Don't believe me? Ask any Viking Kitty ( of which I am one ) or the RBKA ( of which I am a founding member )crowd.

No pot, no kettle here, just a two month old member ( unless you are a retread ) who has delusions of adequacy.

Many would consider your tactics to be trollish themselves, if one were to go by the original definition from usenet.

"No pot, no kettle here, just a two month old member ( unless you are a retread ) who has delusions of adequacy."

Again, you equate being a member of a website longer with standing, experience, and knowledge. All your sign-up date means is that you joined earlier. That's it. That's all.

If you want to ignore the takeover of the education system and an almost complete paradigm shift regarding socialism here in the US, I guess you could say there was no fighting on US soil. Soldiers would have done less long term damage though.

I'll give you the fact that we are currently being invaded by an enourmous army from a hostile nation and at least for the time being the illegals are a greater danger than the terrorists.

The border patrol, in case you are unaware of the fact, aren't staked out at our airports.

In many places, unfortunately, communities, cities, and states do everything in their power, to shield illegals. An d believe it or not, it's not the big bad cheap labor moguls, who are doing this, but local politicians. Okay, so then you retort with the same old same old, that they are paying off the politicians, at every level. But it just isn't THAT "simple".

It isn't "treason"and throwing around that word, doesn't make you right; nor does it help you any in this debate.

Is Pat's blatant anti-Semitism the ONLY thing you you disagree with him about?

Please don't take Pat so seriously. He really doesn't mean a lot of the things he spouts off about. And it's really EASY for people with NO power at all, to say lots of ridiculous things, which as an elected official, they would NOT say and could NOT do.

How come nobody ever wanted to IMPEACH Reagan? After all, Reagan gave BLANKET AMNESTY to EVERYONE. Heck, you guys don't even want to talk about him and the BLANKET AMNESTY. LOL
