Steer clear of mirrors, Tex.
EV you go over there on a thread filled with banned freepers accusing Jim of taking money from the RNC and all you can do is tell everyone what good friends you have there.
Neither do I!
YIKES!
Oh please! nopardons,
I am from the old school too and agree with many things you see and say but you can't....FM
No, I applaud your proclaiming what you are - and you have every reason to be proud of it. I believe our only diferences are actually superficial - you wouldn't believe how the homicidal urge comes over me when that overdriven distorted buzz of rap comes through a nearby obnoxious snot's trunk.
There's possiblities there...punk locked in his own trunk of torture. What are you doing ths weekend?
How can I possibly be guilty of something I don't know what it is? LOL
did you ever hear of Freep Mail = FM
What did you think I said freak a mouse LOL
Well, I believe that Jim has already been down this road with you. As Jim tried to tell you, even if you disagree with another poster's opinion on the board, you have to make the assumption that they are a conservative and give them the respect that you would like to have shown to yourself.
There might be more moderate conservatives here, but still their opinion on the board is just as valid as yours and they deserve respect. Of course, there are liberals lurking on the board, but we aren't mind readers so we have to make the assumption they are conservative until they try to disrupt a discussion or post garbage. As Jim pointed out anyone who is not a conservative and is just here to put down conservatives and disrupt this forum will be weeded out by Jim and the moderators.
I've been guilty of dirtying my hands and calling another poster a moron because I thought his opinions were too liberal. After Jim's discussion with you, I realized that I should have just argued against his opinion on the issue or completely ignored him rather than attack him personally.
I want my opinions heard and not ignored so I'm going to take Jim's words to heart and TRY not to act like a moron myself because I vehemently disagree with another poster's opinion. If I feel I'm being repeatedly attacked by a poster then I'll just alert the moderators and let them sort it out.
I find it hilarious that you find time to critique LP, but never have a bad word to say about the much more malicious form of lying spewed regularly at CP.
I mean why should you? You post pretty much the same stuff as they do there here. You're of the same mind and the same spirit.
You're mistaken. The people I'm talking about don't deserve any respect whatsoever, because they never give any themselves.
Everyone who knows me will tell you that I'm one of the most respectful people you'll ever want to meet...at least until you attack me or my friends or show your liberal stripes. Then I will attack back. I'm not a political pacifist.
So you didn't understand how the military community operate? Do you read your posts?
Unfortunately, I am afraid that our differences are more than superficial; however, we now might be able to haves a somewhat more civil discussion....yes?
I'm busy this weekend. Should I send my driver to help you with that trunk job? LOL
That was a flaky reply!
I viscerally loathe the damned political correct garbage.
I abjure the dumbed down masses who strive to reach the lowest possible common denominator.
I am thoroughly repelled by the multiculti garbage. I'm from the old "melting-pot" school of thought.
I fight because our country IS worth fighting for; even if our culture, right now, isn't. I know that no matter how bad it gets, eventually the pendulum always swings back.I fight for THAT day.
You'll NEVER understand me and part of it is because you don't really want to see me for who I really am. I'm an old school, America lover, who gets goose bumps from hearing or singing the national anthem,a feeling of pride and honor when I say the pledge, tears in my eyes caused by the strains of John Philip Sousa, and my guts tied in knots, when I see so many people who not only don't know much factual history of this great land, but are proud of their own stupidity.
Hyphenated Americans, even on St. Paddie's Day, make me sick. Regionalists turn my stomach too. So do those who imagine that they are conservatives, but spew thinly veiled MARXIST dogma.
****
Great, great post.
Thank you for saying that so well.
Thank you.
It reminds me of what my mom use to tell me and my siblings - Don't bring yourself down to another person's level. I think that this is what Jim was trying to tell you - in order for the forum to remain respectful, our discussions should remain respectful. If someone else is being disrespectful, then don't add to the problem or give fuel to the disrespectful person's fire by firing back in the same disrespectful manner.
Everyone who knows me will tell you that I'm one of the most respectful people you'll ever want to meet...at least until you attack me or my friends or show your liberal stripes. Then I will attack back. I'm not a political pacifist.
I think I'm extremely conservative, but even I have a liberal stripe or two on certain issues. I've had someone accuse me of being liberal on this board. I'm glad you don't get thrown off the board just because a few people think you are too liberal on one issue to be a true conservative.
:-)
