In the muslim world that makes him apostate, and he would be killed. Equivalence? Somehow, call me crazy, but I don't see the equivalence between "very disappointed" and death.
I'm sure that there are people who wish their relatives would marry in the faith, I don't know any, but I'm sure they exist. But it's at this point, it's not an official position of the church. Christians are quite tolerant these days, contrary to the raving left's impression of Christians.

It's not what you posited, though. You said you didn't know of a single Christian who was told to marry exclusively in their faith. I do. While a modern American (or even "Western") Christian might not be inspired to kill because of it, the sentiment definitely still exists---at least in my neck of the woods.
