The article above is not about bloodthirsty terrorists trying to kill people. It is a about Muslim parents trying to figure out how to help their kids find a Msulim spouse. I am a Christian and I try not start spewing venom every time I see the word Muslim.
And the example I sited about Christians was not 600 years ago. I remember well when Catholics were discouraged from "mixed marriages" with Protestants, it was in my lifetime. I have been to the Smithsonian and seen posters from the late 1800's where there was panic about Catholics immigrating to America and establishing "pope worship." But that did not happen did it? We don't know what will happen with the Muslims but it behooves us all to cool off every now and then. We should try to detach ourselves from our fears and look at situations that turned out better than we expected them to. We need to be vigilant but we also need to avoid letting our fears get the best of us.

And the Catholics... in the Bible did it say that non believers should be lied to in order to gain advantage? Did the pope preach that Catholics should crusade against the Jews and Hindus, and all other non believers? (Yeah, yeah, there were crusades, against islam, in response to islamic aggression, over 600 years ago, and the crusaders lost). Did the local Catholic priests preach holy war and killing? Where is it in the Bible that killing oneself for God will grant you rewards in heaven? The penalty for leaving Catholicism these days, death? The Catholics... their weapons of mass destruction... a catapult? Fire? I don't recall reading about Catholics building nukes to get rid of another group, can you show me where that is?
I have nothing against other religions. I live near the Amish, (odd people in my view, but it's their right). I work with Hindus, and Jews, I find them to be great people. Differences don't scare me. People who want to kill me, at any cost, including blowing up their own children, they bother me. People who want to tell me I should try to empathize with the folks who want me dead... I have no time for that.
muslims understand one thing only, power. Our only course of action that will perserve our way of life is to contain the animals, and deliver punishment as required. Eventually, the "good muslims" will either abandon the death cult, or will change the core of islam. I don't think it can be changed. islam is a death cult. It's a cult with a governmental system built in. There can be no separation of islam and state.
