Geez, let some other people give their opinions and don't whack them because YOU feel so strongly. We don't HAVE to agree with you, and you seem to have put a damper on the conversation just by being like a jack hammer. Get a grip.

Jack, you have to admit that [here in Mass] Mitt has been acting like a check valve, preventing a lot of socialized rubbish from passing by his desk.
I see your points but we'll have to agree to disagree on his RINO status.
If you ask me, the reason that the Republicans haven't put forward any undeniably Conservative candidates is because Cheney's ill-health is a well-concealed farce, and he will be President from 2008-2016. The dems will self distruct!

Sorry. Didn't mean to inhibit you. I'm not entitled to an opinion?
To: Disturbin
We can certainly agree to disagree. :-)
Let's hope you're right, and the Dems self-destruct....

He's a nutless RINO who bailed on those trying stop homosexual marriage here in the Gay State. A pox on him.

opine away, but don't jump on your fellow freepers just because they like Romney!
Just watched him on the O'Reilly re-run - he was fabulous - and he is very clear that he will take a very strong stand on the illegal immigration issue - clear IDs for aliens, fence, national guard......he already has my vote just for that!

I don't believe I jumped on anyone. On the contrary, someone referred to me as "stupid." But never mind. We're all friends here, after all. :-)

Certainly seems to be the best choice at this early point. And that is being said with him having a lot going against him. Unless someone better comes along he has my vote as of now. Not that almost any Republican wouldn't have my vote.

ALMOST any Republican, is right....
just finished a poll that was shoving McCain down my throat and I kept hawking him right back up.........
Notice how we NEVER heard any discussion about Mormons before in the MSM, and now the topic is all over the media, HBO,pervert shows, etc? The orchestra is tuning up......

I was thorougly addicted to Big Love when it was on. Maybe it just looked so much better compared to each weeks A Very Gay Sopranos, but I thought it was an outstanding show.
If Romney starts gaining a lot of steam the amount of will/should Catholics and Protestants vote for a Mormon will be almost unbearable on news shows. They will try to make that the biggest issue of the race when it should be a complete non-issue.

Why would Mitt Romney be a distaster -- but in reading all the posts - you answered my question. You sure don't like the guy, do you?

IOW, residents of Massachusetts now live in a state governed by a man who believes the president of the United States has inherent authority to order the torture unto death of anyone the president sees fit to render, and that the president's authority in that regard is absolute, beyond the reach of constitutional limits, international conventions, or moral scruples. This makes you, according to Mr. Romney, a "centrist."
This man wants to be president of the United States. This man wants to be able to torture people. Being governor of Massachusetts shouldn't make you so crazy.
