Question is whether the motive was to depress turnout for Allen in southside Virginia and among Muslims in Fairfax County, or whether it was to get under his skin and provoke him into an anger tantrum (as it successfully managed.)

I will admit I only heard the sound bit but I took it as a rebuke to the reporter not a anger tantrum.
