New Poll: Katherine Harris is closing gap!!
SurveyUSA ^

Posted on 09/17/2006 5:58:24 PM PDT by cutepanda

I am surprised that nobody has noticed this poll taken by SurveyUSA on September 14th.

Nelson 53% : Harris 38%

Clearly, Harris is catching up fast. She used to be 30 points behind but in this post-primary poll, the gap has been narrowed to 15%.

Nelson is in his low 50s, he is clearly in danger. For all those Harris nonsayers, I say screw you!! If Harris keeps on campaigning, the victory is within reach!

When RINO Lincoln Chafee won his primary, all the GOP establishement signed a sigh of relief. However, a new poll to be released by Rasmussen shows the following astonishing results:

Whitehouse 51% : Chafee 43%.

Will GOP establishment pour in another $5MM to save this RHINO? Shall we say mission impossible after the conservative voters are pissed off by the blatant interference from Ms. Dole?

Go Harris! Screw you Lincoln Chafee.

"Oh, goodie. Another rah-rah thread. If she holds her 38% to November, it will be a miracle."

Most good Christians believe in miracles. Go Katherine! Ignore the nattering nabobs of negativism. I love a good RAH RAH!!!!! thread, especially if it is on Katherine's behalf. I adhere to the Harris sleeper win of the mid-term elections philosophy. I also believe in the sleeper going to bed and prying myself off of FR philosophy. If I get off FR tonite it will be a miracle. But I believe in them. Nitey nite.

CUTEPANDA, thank you for posting this thread & info !

Did you hear the joke about the Panda bear in the restaurant ?

One night a Panda bear goes inot a restaurant,
orders a dinner,
chows down,
when finished, he pays the bill,
then he gets up and walks out the door - -

as he does so, he whips out a machine gun and sprays the place with bullets ! !

The horrified resauranteer askes the Panda bear why did he do this- -
the Panda bear replies: I am a Panda, it is what I do, look it up - - -

So the Restauranteer gets an encyclopedia, looks up 'Panda Bear' - -
large Asian marsupial mammal - Eats Shoots and Leaves . .

>>In fairness, Lincoln Chafee does increase the Republican margin in the Senate if nothing else. He's otherwise worthless of course.
Same thing with Tom Kean Jr. He is a RINO but it is another person on our side of the aisle.
<<

He won't win .

If the Dems have a strong candidate, Chaffee probably won't win .

Why would people vote for a RINO over a Democrat, what is the difference between the two ?
Chaffe had better define himself as 'Not a Liberal Democrat"

>>Harris will end up losing by 5 to 8 points<<

Maybe, maybe she'll win - -

If another independent poll confirms these numbers, she definite has a chance of victory !

>>Nelson has not spent one dollar, had no primary opponent, ergo, no face time and has not spent one dollar on ads. In addition, he has huge incumbent war chest.

Harris had to spend her funds to defeat a bunch of unknowns in primary.

Final; 65-31 at best.
Sorry, but true.

<<

I question your numbers .

"Nelson has not spent a dollar, Nelson has spent only a dollar" - - blaghhh, nonsense !

MORE IMPORTANTLY, if Harris can duplicate these recent numbers in some other independent poll, then she's definitely moving upward and Nelson is moving downward .

Rep Katherine Harris does have a chance of victory .

As slim as it may be, as far an uphill fight she has got in front of her- - she can still win .

>>Oh, goodie. Another rah-rah thread. If she holds her 38% to November, it will be a miracle.<<

Oh yee of little faith'

It is not so much that Katherine has jumped up by at least 8 points in the polls, it is that Nelson has dropped by 7 to 10 points - - that is what is significant .

If other polls confirm this recent advance for Harris, then she has a definite chance of winning !

And you signed up two years ago to whine about someone who signed up 3 days ago to speak her mind about the GOP's support for RINOs?

It certainly is an uphill fight to defeat ANY incumbent, as everyone shall see in Pa , NJ, and other places.

Why some are so rabid against her is a perfect, shining example of the educational product of the NEA.

While old Bill has an large machine and the media behind him, Harris is a perfect example of the type of candidate that conservatives should support.

And we should.

Bill Nelson, a clear-thinker? I think not!

He voted again with Levin, Kennedy, Clinton, Bryd and the rest of the gang.

This time it was to prevent CIA interrogators from being any rougher on terror suspects than Super Nanny.

Do you have any idea of the value of political advertising? Do you realize, for example, what the "Swift Boat" ads did to Kerry?

Do you understand the incredible negatives she brings to the current campaign?

Do you realize she is a target of interest of a federal grand jury?

Do you realize that even many of the most ardent republicans in the state will openly say that she has lied to them time and again? Personally, I have been at public appearances twice when she made two statements that were clearly stupid, self-serving lies?

Do you realize that in an interview she told a newspaper that if people elect Jews to office, they are guaranteeing immorality in government and public life?

Do you realize that she has gone through THREE complete campaign staffs, and that was just to get through the PRIMARY?

Do you realize that she is a bit off her rocker? PS, if anyone wants to wager on the election, I have up to $150,000 I'm willing to bet on the outcome.

CT,

Your political commentary is typically quite insightful and worthy. Unfortunately, your opinion of Harris' campaign, as well as your deliberate dismissal of how the GOP has so blatantly repeatedly stabbed this good lady in the back, is off the mark.

Please don't join the ranks of the Nelson enablers. It does you no honor.

I don't get what you mean, what does the National Endowment for the Arts have to do with the Media's defaming of Harris ?
