Muslim Brotherhood - Founded in Egypt in 1928 by an elementary school teacher named Hasan El-Banna the Brotherhood was dedicated to a puritanical revivalist Islamic religious teaching with the ultimate goal of reestablishing the Caliphate and spreading Islam to the world. As part of its grassroots efforts the Brotherhood created a series of community centers, welfare services, and physical fitness centers throughout the region. Included in this infrastructure was the Young Men’s Muslim Association (YMMA) in British Palestine. The YMMA provided physical training while serving as a front organization for the covert campaign of violence against the British and Jewish interest. The YMMA leadership regularly coordinated and consulted with Haj Amin al-Husseini and his associates. El-Banna himself was not idle as Hitler came to power. In fact, he said that he had “considerable admiration for the Nazi Brownshirts” and organized his own forces along fascist lines. The Brotherhood was very active in directly aiding the anti-Jewish riots instigated by al-Husseini under the direction of German Intelligence officers, in Jerusalem in the 1936, and in 1939. In addition El-Banna and other members of the Brotherhood including Youssef Nada, who was a member of the armed wing [secret apparatus (al-jihaz al-sirri)] of the Brotherhood, were recruited by Nazi Military Intelligence to provide information on the British and work covertly to undermine British control in Egypt. These efforts were often coordinated between the Brotherhood and the Young Egypt (Egyptian Nazi) party. Included in this coordinated effort was the secret treaty between members of Young Egypt / Brotherhood and the German forces in North Africa. Didn't Islam sack Constantinople numerous times and eventually succeed in taking and holding it?

Didn't Islam slay thousands of Byzantine citizens who refused to convert to Islam?

Quoting a 13th Century Byzantine Emperor who thought Islam was spread by the sword is an historic fact. The Emperor was actually living in Greece because the Muslims had already taken over Constantinople and most of the Byzantine empire's territory already.

The Pope's so called apology reminded me of something we used to do as kid's. We'd call a sibling "Stupid", Mom would say apologize, and we'd say, "I'm sorry you're stupid."

The Pope called Islam "violent", they demanded an apology, and he basically said "I'm sorry you're violent." (of course, their reaction just reinforced his original statement.)

I have truly had it with these mohammeden freaks!! It seems to me that NOTHING short of the Holy Father submitting to Islam will be good enough for them!

The man said he was sorry that what he quoted insulted the sensibilities of some moslems. I am sorry for that too. It truly pains me that there are lunatics in this world who cannot handle the truth regarding the faith they practice and feel it necessary to threaten, maim and kill anyone who has the nerve to say anything that they decide is insulting to their fanatical and satanic cult.

Our home is being blessed this afternoon. A good friend of the family, Father Serafim, will be arriving soon and will do the blessing. I look forward to discussing this issue with him. He a a wise and good priest. He actually recently returned from three weeks in the Holy Land. I will be interested to get his perspective on all of this...
