"We consider that the new statements represent a retreat from what went before," Brotherhood deputy leader Mohammed Habib told Reuters.
"We can consider them a sufficient apology, even if we had wanted the pope to outline his ideas and vision of Islam," said Habib, whose opposition Islamist group has inspired similar movements across the Arab world.
The Pope said he was "deeply sorry" At the anger caused by his remarks on Islam and said a quote he used from a medieval text about holy wars did not reflect his personal thoughts.

They backed down. He did not apologize for what he said. Then good on him!
If the world - and it's leaders - don't stop 'obeying' Sharia Law upon the demand of the barbarians - we had better start sewing burkas

Don't be silly. I'm not trying to insult you here, but we all know what will happen at the next attack on the US:
1) Our President goes on TV saying Islam is a religion of peace.
2) Media runs a bunch of interviews with muslim scholars saying "this was not the work of muslims, muslims would never harm innocents."
3) Conspiracy theories fly about how all the Jews left the city before the blast; Israel and Jews are targeted for (even more) abuse worldwide.
4) State and local governments place protective cordons around all mosques to "shield against anti-muslim backlash."
5) Federal government puts more restrictions on the freedom of American citizens.
Believe ME, any silly threats to unleash hell on muslims are utterly empty. Our military is NEVER going to be truly unleashed on these scum. We might feed another 2600 soldiers into a third-world meat grinder and accomplish nothing of consequence. Yeah, that'll scare 'em!
And if you try to act locally and unleash hell on muslims in the US, your own government will protect the muslims from you. You will be arrested or shot by your own government, believe me.

Muslim Brotherhood - Founded in Egypt in 1928 by an elementary school teacher named Hasan El-Banna the Brotherhood was dedicated to a puritanical revivalist Islamic religious teaching with the ultimate goal of reestablishing the Caliphate and spreading Islam to the world. As part of its grassroots efforts the Brotherhood created a series of community centers, welfare services, and physical fitness centers throughout the region. Included in this infrastructure was the Young Mens Muslim Association (YMMA) in British Palestine. The YMMA provided physical training while serving as a front organization for the covert campaign of violence against the British and Jewish interest. The YMMA leadership regularly coordinated and consulted with Haj Amin al-Husseini and his associates. El-Banna himself was not idle as Hitler came to power. In fact, he said that he had considerable admiration for the Nazi Brownshirts and organized his own forces along fascist lines. The Brotherhood was very active in directly aiding the anti-Jewish riots instigated by al-Husseini under the direction of German Intelligence officers, in Jerusalem in the 1936, and in 1939. In addition El-Banna and other members of the Brotherhood including Youssef Nada, who was a member of the armed wing [secret apparatus (al-jihaz al-sirri)] of the Brotherhood, were recruited by Nazi Military Intelligence to provide information on the British and work covertly to undermine British control in Egypt. These efforts were often coordinated between the Brotherhood and the Young Egypt (Egyptian Nazi) party. Included in this coordinated effort was the secret treaty between members of Young Egypt / Brotherhood and the German forces in North Africa. Part of this treaty called for a general uprising lead by the Brotherhood in the streets of Cairo at a time most advantageous to the Nazis, in exchange for German recognition of Egypt. http://www.azanderson.org/anderson_report_geo_political_Global_Nazism_Muslim_Brotherhood_filesjuly_11.htm
Osama Bin Laden and many other IslamiNazis are products of the teachings of The Muslim Brotherhood. When dealing with them, watch your back.

I am supposed to love my enemies and right now I am having a very hard time when every time I turn around the Koranimals blast the Pope or anybody who voices their opinion. It's worse than that. The Pope voiced something that is not even his opinion, and they still want an apology. For what? He said he was quoting someone he didn't agree with.

You just gotta laugh. It took them this long to realize that the Pope apologised for their reaction. He said basically "I am deeply sorry you all are savages".
I spotted the non apology apology right away. These mullahs must be dumb as a box of rocks.
I am liking this Pope.

So what does the brotherhood say of the hoods who executed a nun??? Hello!!!!! Hello!!!!! Anyone there?????? Well, so long's no one's "offended"
after all, only the islamofacists and socialist libs can claim to be offended and demand reparations. The rest of us are the offenders and have no claim to being offended by anything they say or do against us, humanity or reason.

If the Christian religions are going to survive the Islamic expansion in the world should there be a lined drawn in the sand or should we just fade away quietly. The Vatican has caved in saying what to Islam i.e. come on in and really walk all over us....

Nope. Muzzies know when to take the money and run. Something tells me that this "rage" will soon disappear as one by one the muslim groups declare victory. If only they realized how stupid they look.

I am not sure the Vatican has caved.
It is interesting - no other Christian or Jewish leaders have come out in support of the Pope and against Islamic violence.

The Pope can't say this, so I'll do it for him:
"Hey, you murdering Muslim untermensch, Eat Me! You'd better learn to straighten out and fly right or we're going to wipe your malformed asses off the face of the earth!"

Actually, after shooting a 60 year old nun in the back, they believed they did enough for right now. When the next insult comes they will probably gun down someone in a wheelchair. Or strangle a baby.
