Has anyone heard any comments by other Catholic clergy?
I'd like to hear what Franklin Graham has to say. He has been one of the few religious leaders brave enough to question the mohammadens!!
Not a peep yet from American bishops. Their P.R. folks don't get in until 9:00 Monday. This is much too touchy an issue to expect any individual comments. Maybe if directly confronted by the press, someone of the high stature of Wuerl or George would respond with something politically neutral and supportive of the Pope. But I'd wail until mid-week for a USCCB statement of any sort. They are waiting to see if it dies down and they can ignore it, or if it intensifies and they must respond. Or it may be the place of the Nuncio as this is political.
