The media covers the Pope, the way they cover President Bush.
It's two-dimensional. There's no sense of morality, just a sports score, or a contest of wills, being reported on.
Liberals are so simplistic about everything.

Well expressed and a very perceptive comment.
Re 28 & 29 - I totally agree with you. I have been observing this for a long time. There seemed to be a time when Israel was the underdog and enjoyed a lot of support (as "the only democracy in the middle east"), even within the Democrat party. Then it all seemed to turn when the Arabs started twisting the oil spigot. Dubya has tried to answer back and set things straight, IMHO. Pope has criticised Dubya from his Ivory Tower. I'm glad these nuts "took his head off" with their extremely vociferous backlash towards him simply for him raising an issue and attempting to initiate a civil dialog. Now he may know why we cannot address race, poverty, or almost anything in this country for fear of being tagged a racist, bigot, sexist, homophobe etc. for even broaching a subject. I can't think of a time in modern times where there has been so much chilling of free speech. The media and those who manipulate media are the main culprits. Hopefully the Pope will fall into line on our side and start kicking butt and taking names.
