Man, it's a brand new Navy. If you're over body fat or are a Physical Fitness Assessment failure (PRT to the older folks), you can't put the uniform on (that started this year). What happens after that is between you and whoever else, though...

Mr. Handsome (who also goes by the name of Kenjiro) waves hi to all the Freepers out there in Internet-land, too. He was a model in Japan when we were there, so he knows what to do in front of the camera. ;)

Back when I was in the Corps I wondered how all those fat Chiefs were allowed to stay in. What the younger enlisted navy guys told me was the Chiefs only had to have a physical exam once every couple of years or so. Apparently they'd bust their tails to get just under the mark then go back to being a fatman.
Is their anything worse than having to eat a cherry from a fat Chiefs belly button?

You are right about that. Warfare pins are now required to promoted to CPO. I knew plenty of fleeters that came to the Seabee battalions just to get the SCWS pin. Not exactly your typical sea duty.
