Batchelor was sometimes interesting, but his music and voice drove me nuts to the point I can barely listen to him. Hannity is a lightweight, well-meaning, but intellectually just not up to the drill. I sometimes wince when I hear him trying to 'have at it' with some liberal bozo, it's hard to tell who sounds dumber.

For my money, Rush, Laura Ingraham and Monica Crowley are the best conservative talk show hosts: intelligent, informative, witty, and entertaining. I haven't heard much of Hugh Hewitt, but I like his writing and will be listening to him on podcast.

Given that I work during the day, I rarely get more than snatches of Rush live, but I find subscribing to Rush 24/7 and listening to podcasts (which don't have commercials, last around 35 min for each 'hour' of the show, and are hence well worth paying for) to be the best way to stay up with it.

Hi CatoRenasci-

Monica Crowley is awesome and completely underrated for her knowledge and ability to entertain. I wish she had a better timeslot.

Laura Ingraham makes me howl with laughter, she is so witty...I would never want to cross her in a verbal duel!

Rush Limbaugh has been getting better and better over the years. When I first heard about his inner-ear problem I was practically in tears, it now appears he is better than ever.

With Bob Grant retired, I am very thankful that Mark Levin is on the air. I love his approach and he is another person who is as sharp as a razor when it comes to contemporary history. Excellent entertainment.

Best investment I ever made in entertainment was subscribing to Rush 24/7. I listen to 3 days' worth of podcasts on Saturday while out mowing the lawn and listen to the final 2 days of the show on Sunday while doing other chores. It makes the time go faster and I find that I really get more out of the show listening without the commercials. It also frees me up to listen to Laura Ingraham every day.
