Tough debating is one thing. Running around the Free Republic website posting knowing lies is another. As any real Conservative knows, actions have consequences.

MNJohnnie, let me prove I'm not the one lying here:

Worried GOP bids to shore up conservative support for Nov.

Well, then they should have done what they said they would do.

They've taken conservatives for granted and they've soured the base.

Why be enthused about supporting idiots? At least next time around the true conservative will be the only differing choice between a liberal, a RINO, & a principled conservative.

Screw RINOs. They aren't better than liberals.

They are liberals, having infiltrated our party.

To which you post:

Perhaps the Conservative Political Suicde Club MIGHT want to consider there will be NO legal way to go back and UNDO the blanket amnesty the Democrats will pass EVEN if Conservatives win back the Congress at some future point.
Not A Guest Worker program, a real full bore legalization of all the illegals.

Maybe the Always Angry might want to keep in mind it was Senate Democrats that filibustered to keep any of the US House Republican Border Enforcement provisions out of the Senate immigration bill.

Why do the Always Angry think firing the ONLY people who have been consistently tough about Border Enforcement (US House GOP) in order to put the Congress in the hands of Democrats (who will vote all most 100% against it) is such a "brilliant" political move for Conservatives? EVEN if their magic fantasy of a political wet dream that Conservatives magically win back the Congress, it will be legally impossible to ram thru retroactive changes to the full Amnesty the Democrats will have passed while they control Congress.

This constant advocation by supposedly "Conservatives" that voters should completely destroy any hope of any part of the Antis position on Immigration actually ever being enacted into Law in order to "teach Bush a Lesson" is simply politically insane. It is the babble of people who either know nothing at all about how politics work or are simply hiding their real political allegiance to the Democrat party under the guise of being "betrayed Conservatives".

I guess the Conservative Political Suicide Club would rather have a Democrat Congress who would legislate these sorts of things when in power.

You leave similar posts on other occasions as you condemn conservatives fed up with RINOs who might actually not want to vote for a RINO.

You are the one who's lost his credibility. I have proof of your positions and words.

Read it and weep.

Agreed. And that is why you have no credibility.

You haven't refuted a thing I've said.

Very true. I hope you wasn't implying that I was lying, I wasn't.

I do not understand why the fine people of South Carolina continue to support Graham. Could someone from SC explain this to me?

There is no going back here. You knowingly lied about my position. That forever renders you ridiculous to any serious Freeper. As any real Conservative knows, Actions have Consequences.

Knowingly manufacturing fraudulent claims about a Fellow Freeper and running around the site posting them is not something that can be just laughed off. Slander is not a laughing matter. You should of thought of this before you decided to stoop to such gutter level tactics. Kind of curious what sort of "Christian" thinks it is acceptable for them to engages in such despicable behavior?

I am going to let you off the hook this time. You might want to think twice before engaging in this sort of behavior ever again.

See, unlike you, I really do believe Christ's teachings.

Chafee still caucuses with the GOP, and has voted for cloture on every filibuster

An important point and I am certain that I would vote for Chafee over his Democratic opponent. It would frustrate me greatly as I see Democrats with more spine that this group of GOP Senators.

"Just think; could have been Oliver North doing this, but NOOOOOO! Senate RINOs had to back this bastard."

The seat that Oliver North ran for in 1994 is currently held by Senator George Allen not John Warner.

Sorry, oldtimer's disease is kicking in. Warner was loudly against North though, no? I sure remember not liking Warner anymore during and after that election...

(Ok, Corin, correct me if I get this wrong)
During the Republican mass meeting that year, North beat Jim Miller to run against Chuck Robb. At that point, Marshall Coleman entered the race as an independent. Coleman was backed by Warner and ex-governor Linwood Holton (who is the father-in-law of VA Governor Tim Kaine-D). Coleman got around 11% of the vote, enough to put Robb back in office.

Yep. You're correct.

In 1994 when the GOP swept the nation, we lost Virginia because of John Warner and Marshall Coleman.

Jim Miller challenged Warner in 1996, but lost in the primary.
