Never really been all that much of a fan of El Nino. It seems like it brings out the really freaky weather everywhere. If I recall correctly, here in Michigan we get something akin to a snowstorm or two around Thanksgiving, and then dropped into the deep freezer for two months solid. Forget anything about a traditional white Christmas. It doesn't snow much when the high temp is 5-10 Deg. for two months solid.
Then there's a brief respite for the January thaw, and then we get rained on until spring. Then we'll get clobbered with a couple of late snow storms in spring.
