Right. What GWB was denigrated for doing a whole seven minutes after being notified of the attacks on the WTC buildings, Democrats leaders "did a Bush" for eight or nine times as long (but that was a good thing). I know, they were just making sure their duck was all in a row, the "I" dotted and "T" crossed, and checkin' it out that whatever they did do would look good.

The way I figure it: the Dems got flustered when GWB beat them to the punch with a presser (while they, the Dems, were franticaly trying to get ahold of Bagdad Bob to deliver a message of calm and rationality). While that wouldn't have accomplished anything, at least it would've looked good. The Dem mantra is "its better to look good doing nothing, than look bad doing something good."
