Some of the people started walking to Brooklyn (via Brooklyn Bridge) as soon as they were evacuated from the Towers. I don't know which stations (if any) showed that. Maybe only still photos and video. Remember that many stations, both TV and radio were knocked off the air as soon as Tower 1 (the one with the big antenna) was hit.
If I remember correctly, some feed was shared (such as Fox sharing with CBS), and some broadcasting was switched to facilities in the Empire State Building, and Major Armstrong's FM tower (1st one on planet Earth) on the Palisades, in Alpine New Jersey.

CBS has their backup on Empire State Building and was on the air quickly. Everyone else was on the World Trade Center.
