No doubt... Bush didn't do jack to stop Terrorism before 9/11. Not interested in 'nation building' and all that.
The problem for dems is Bush didn't do jack for a few months, Clinton didn't do jack for years.
The BIGGEST difference, BY FAR, is how the parties have decided to respond to it after 9/11 where the CLEAR goobers are they.

Bush didn't do jack to stop Terrorism before 9/11. That's not really quite true. There was lots of testimony with back up calendars, etc., that Bush ordered Condi and others in the intel world to prepare reports on how to take down the Taliban and AQ. It hit his desk 2-3 days before 9/11. It's in the 9/11 Commission Report.

Exactly. I think there is plenty of pre-911 blame to go around. Lots of it. At the same time, I don't think anyone could have really anticipated it...at least it being so successful.
So standing around pointing fingers is idiotic. It's how we responded that matters...and those distinctions are VERY clear. They want the same old, same old. We want to win.
