You cannot in good conscience be a believing Christian and a Democrat at the same time.

Nor a straight party ticket voting Republican. Go back in history a couple of decades. It was a Republican, Independent, and Democrat who formed a grass roots org that changed political history and ushered in the Reagan era and that led to the GOP majority in both houses. I do not believe myself that any political party has the blessings of GOD especially now. Our leaders whatever party they belong to are only a reflection of our nations moral character or rather growing lack of it.

Leaders if the moral conscience of the nation as a whole is good will be blessed with wise leaders and will prosper. Nations who fall away are cursed with poor leadership even though some among the leadership may be good persons.

Some may laugh but in the 1980's we enjoyed national prosperity and stood tall before the world. Where are we today? We have the most knowledge and greatest technology of almost any nation on earth yet where are our successes now? We tolerate evil in our government over some misguided notion of a lesser than two evils voting system which is now used to excuse having poor candidates. We are the most brilliant nation yet look at our leadership on both sides. We have some of the worst minds leading this nation in both parties yet none call them evil if they belong to their own party.

Until people get over it's the DEM's vs the GOP and instead start addressing it as the character of candidates the good and wise vs the evil and foolish we will not see change in this nations direction. We have two parties steering us in the same direction now because we allow ourselves to vote for evils.

If a DEM comes up and says he/she is pro-life, pro traditional marriage, and pro family values I will vote for such over a Republican who will vote for such things as abortion, same sex unions, and programs that destroy the family. I do not believe any party including independents own Jesus. I believe if he walked into the nations Capitol as he did the Temple both parties tables would be turned over and scattered.

Don't vote solely for a party vote for a candidate instead if none is exceptable then don't vote in that office in protest. Let the LORD handle it from there. Do what is right and not seems expedient. Vote on what you believe in and support those running for office who hold your values. When We The People have a change of heart our nation will be healed. No political party is gonna save this nation only changed hearts will and that means in both parties and the nation as a whole.

Saying what I said though I could not support that groups co-founder Roy Herron and here is why. Tennessee State Senate Approves Pro-Life Constitutional Amendment

Nope Roy you fall short of the mark as you support abortion according to your statement.

Sen. Roy Herron, D-Dresden joined a group of legislators in voting against the proposal because he says it fails to guarantee that women will have the right to an abortion in those limited circumstances.

This is the one and the same Roy Herron.

If this happens, be skeptical of the Democrat. I will NEVER vote for a Democrat. I know it's hard sometimes to vote for certain Republicans but we must. The way committee chairmanships in state legislatures and the congress are structured, we need all the Rs we can get. The only way any pro-life Democrat is of any value to the pro-life movement is as long as Democrats are in the minority. Then their vote will help but if Democrats are in the majority, it is guaranteed there will no pro-life legislation even brought for consideration.

If the choice is in a legislative or congressional race, we must vote for a pro-abortion Republican before voting for a pro-life Democrat. This situation will be so rare, it's not worth worrying about.

I've been involved in a state legislature for years and Democrats fight to prevent from having even the most common-sense legislation approved as long as it may in any way discouraged any abortion from happening.

This is another reason I have no respect for any pro-life Democrat. They can't be serious or they wouldn't be Democrats in the first place.

Sorry, but Dems have made it crystal clear for over 30 years that they are the party of death. If a Dem says he isn't pro-death, don't believe him. They simply won't tolerate anyone who's pro-life, not ever.

You said nothing in contradiction to my statement. God may not bless political parties but He does bless people and people make up political parties. If you have more blessed people in one political party the effects of their blessedness is going to show in their decisions. The problem with the GOP is the good guys, the blessed ones, are acting as cowards. The are afraid of offending others who are not blessed as they are. In fact, they don't know the gifts God has given to them. I have no problem voting a party other than GOP if the candidate is pro-life, pro-marriage etc.
