Is that near Bug Tussle?
West of Booger County. East of the Nations. South of Tintown.
Karl Rove you are such a genius!</sarc>
Some states have both.
Wrong side of town!
No, but those low econmies diminished the global demand for oil and pushed the global price of oil low.
I pumped gas in the Michigan winter at 58 cents. Full service. Me with wet hair after swim practice. Hair froze.
My friend, who got me the job, was a notorious scammer. He figured out that he could pry the glass frame off of one pump, and dial in, by hand, $1.00 on the rotating numbers.
Everytime somebody came in for a "Fillup," he would guide them to that pump, saying it was the only one working.
One fullup, one buck for him.
He told the rest of us about it, and we played with the pump. Trick was, you had to dial it in and then click the handle up and down, and resist the pressure of the wheels.
So he got greedy, and tried resetting it with several bucks on the pump, and it broke the mechanism.
800 gallons of gas later, we all got fired.
"Sir, the pump broke! How much do you think the tank took? I don't know what to do! My manager will be so mad if I let you go without paying!"
"Son, it probably took $8.00, and that's all I'll give you."
"Thank you sir!"
We had oil in cans, on these roll-out stands, next to each pump stand.
My buddy put empty cans on the top. Puncture holes on the bottom.
"May I check your oil, 'Ma'am?"
"Yes, please do."
(You pull out the stick, dry it, push it back in with your fingers holding below the cap. Pull it out, without looking, and show it to her.)
"Maam, you are one quart low. Would you like me to put it in?"
Empty can comes off the top, fake oil injection.
"That will be $2.00, Ma'am, and $8.00 for the gas."
He got tipped, too.
Do you remember where you read that? That seems awful high.
Yes, see post 91 and backtrail.
Looks like it's 2.25 at Murphy's now.

I didn't read it, I heard it on the radio. Like I said, they (the media)were probably just throwing out figures to dampen the enthusiasm over the prospect of lower gas prices.
true, dat.
When was the last time we had $25 a barrel?
Thanks. It will take a lot of money and time before this reaches production. But I would be surprised that it would take such a high sustained price to justify it. If it would, I doubt they would be drilling that far out in the first place.
68 Road Runner with the 440 at least. :)
Ive seen it as low as 2.24 at hotspot.. thats located at the corner of campbell and plainview.

"The oil bubble has popped!"
I've been getting Newsmax e-mails for months and months saying this was going to happen, even before we found all that oil in the gulf.
