"I am asking you. Why are you invading our thread? Is it to disrupt? Is it to hijack and get this moved to the Smokey Backroom like the last one from whence you came?
I have no gripes at what you post elsewhere, even at other Terri threads, but to invade this one, you are declaring a jihad and in doing so are revealing your essence.
"
I do not see how this News/Activism thread is anything but a thread about a young person who is recovering from serious problems.
You call it a Terri Legacy Thread, but nothing about Terri Schiavo appears in the original post. I joined the thread when it began to discuss organ donation. You can look back and see at what point I entered the thread. That is a subject that interests me.
I have never used the term "Terribots." I take each thread individually, and respond based on what is being posted. I'm not stalking anyone. I don't even remember ever posting to BykrBayb prior to this thread, and do not know who she is, other than another Freeper.
As for who is "the face of FreeRepublic," as you put it, I have no idea. There is a wide range of viewpoints expressed here. As long as the discussion is civil, the discussion goes on, as it should. Only when name-calling begins do threads deteriorate into flamefests.
I'm part of no group. I am one poster. You can view my posting history, some 29,000 or so posts. I post for myself, alone. I'm a member of no group on FreeRepublic. If you take the time to review my posting history, you'll find that I post on all sorts of topics.
You ask, "Why are you here?" I am on FreeRepublic to discuss political issues. Isn't that why we're all here? News threads are not exclusive to one group or another. They are simply news threads. They show up in the News/Activism topic...the only one I bother to read. When a thread shows up that interests me, I read it. If there are posts I want to reply to, I reply.
There is no Terri Legacy topic on Free Republic. There is the Chat topic for things that aren't news any longer, but no Terri Legacy topic. What is posted in News/Activism is on the most active topic on Free Republic. Everyone may post on any of those threads. This thread became a discussion of organ donation and transplantation That has nothing to do with Terri Schiavo, but it's a topic of interest to me. So I posted replies to some of the posts that dealt with that topic. I called nobody names. I simply posted my opinion.
Again, you mention my "Team." I have no team. I post completely on my own regard. I have no affiliations with any other poster on Free Republic.
You mention the principles of Jim Robinson. Jim stands for discussion of issues, done in a civil way. That's what I do here. I discuss topics, and try very hard to be civil. I haven't called anyone any names. I haven't said anyone was stupid. I haven't called anyone "obtuse." I have merely stated my opinion as clearly as I can.
Finally, you ask, "Why are you invading our thread?" I'm sorry, but I don't see how it is your thread. It is posted in the most active topic on Free Republic. It has grown to over 500 posts. Were it in Chat or Religion, I probably would never have seen it. If there were a Terri Schiavo topic, I would never have seen it.
Had it just been about this poor kid, I would never have posted. I began posting when it swerved into a discussion of organ donation and transplantation. That has nothing to do with Terri Schiavo, as I have said before.
You accuse me of "declaring a jihad." I guess I don't see how that applies. I'm just posting my opinion. It is you who wants to keep me off this thread. I'm not attempting to keep anyone off this or any other thread. I'm just posting on a topic of interest to me.
You are welcome to ask the moderator or Jim Robinson to look at my posts in this thread. I would never do such a thing, but, hey, the [Report Abuse] button is always there. As far as I know, though, I haven't broken any rules here. I'm being civil in my posts, and I'm just stating my opinion about this thread.
If you want to call yourself a "Terribot," please feel free. I don't use the term. I understand that many people feel very strongly about Terri Schiavo and the situation she was in. I don't necessarily agree with all their opinions. But I don't call them names.
