I notice that this newspaper is still calling it a "right to die" case. WHAT are they thinking? That Haleigh, age 11, was trying to exercise her rights by getting beaten nearly to death? That she asked to have her medical care withdrawn and be dehydrated to death?
This is growing egregious to an unnerving degree as like that of Terri, all right. I hope our allies in the media shine the spotlight back on Haleigh before they gobble her up in their quest. Thankfully this is being reported at least by some, like The Republican; otherwise, she may slip into the shade and become just one more parts supply. Even that isn't their motive, it is the love of death. Grrrr.
When will someone explain to the Culture of Death how stupid the phrase "right to die" actually is? We are all going to die, that is a long established fact, we can postpone it, but we can not avoid it.
What they should be saying is that they want to establish a "right to kill" because that is what they are pushing for.
