It is far easier to see light, bright things than dark things. The teddy bear was a poor test, or no test at all, if it was not a bright white color, and illuminated, and moved s-l-o-w-l-y within Terri's terribly limited range of vision. The balloon was better -- bright and shiny -- but Cranford held it too far away. Terri still managed to follow it, and for more than a few seconds. She followed it long enough to earn this compliment from Dr. Ron: "You see that, don't you, huh? You do follow that a bit, don't you, huh?" "That's good!" In fact, she was trying to follow throughout the whole video, but he wasn't giving her the opportunity. He was moving the balloon too fast and holding it outside of her vision range.

And there we are again, Cranford mistook her vision problem for inability to track. He used the wrong object and moved too fast to let her track.

Bob Schindler knew better and had Terri track a bright light. At least Cranford was honest enough to concede that she did track the lights.

He conceded that see saw the balloon also. Being PVS, Terri was not supposed to see either. Yet Pat Anderson just let it go. I think there should have been a motion for renewed testing on that point alone. See what I mean?
