Ah, so. All parts of the plant narcotic and poisonous. But that's no big deal, a lot of plants are dangerous for one reason or another. A member of the nightshade family (like tomatoes), closely related to the widely spread jimson weed. Heat lover, needs much water, cultivated in the deep south for its orange and peach five-pointed flowers. Pricey.

This one is a beautiful addition to a garden (in the right climate zone). I am satisfied that naming a new variety of Brugmansia for Terri was truly in her honor.
