I know about the poor health care being meted out and how living wills are being pushed at people. Living wills lead to lazy medical providers. Lazy medical providers are very dangerous to patients. No living will and they actually provide better treatment.
Wait till the Jim King Bean 'em and Clean 'em Machine gets going full blast. We'll be lucky to find a citizen over 65. They'll all be pushing up daisies.
If we kill off more of the expensive patients, the insurance rates will drop, and more retirees will swarm in. Oh wait. Many of them ARE the expensive patients. And Florida is now known for it's tendency to kill off useless eaters. Nevermind.
Are insurance rates higher in Pinellas County than average rates in Florida? Because they're leaving Pinellas County even faster than the average departure from Florida.
The few that are remaining are avoiding the long term care facilities, and choosing to live alone with no assistance. There are more beds for them, but fewer of the beds are occupied.
and the food's so bad that patients stop eating and then the drugs are doubled and tripled. Cooking malpractice?
and when they find out Cruise's cult is here, that's another selling point NOT for Pinellas County.
If it's called a long term care facility, don't count on it. It should be called short term care because they cut corners.
I'm helping my fil get into a facility with one of the best chefs in the area. He's a friend of mine, and I know my fil will eat well. I'm looking forward to joining him for meals. We're a couple thousand miles away from Pinellas County.
my pets eat better than al clients.
"There are no people with physical defects in North Korea," said Ri Kwang-chol, a North Korean doctor who escaped last year. Babies with defects are killed by medical staff and quickly buried, he told the London Times.
Among the "physical defects" that will get a baby killed even one in the womb is being half-Chinese.

"At the end of our lives, we will not be judged by how many diplomas we have received, how much money we have made or how many great things we have done. We will be judged by I was hungry and you gave me to eat. I was naked and you clothed me. I was homeless and you took me in." -- Mother Teresa
The judgment will rest joyfully on these children who were arrested and handcuffed for the "crime" of trying to bring water to a woman dying of thirst:
I'm afraid the judgment will not rest lightly on these policemen, nor on those who took away Terri Schaivo's water and food until she died.
Yeeks, when I type "Schiavo" wrong, it's time for a coffee break :-)
Maybe they need to advertise. 10 % of Freerepublic would move down there.
If that doesn't work, get takeout at the Deepwater.
I do that often too. It is just natural to get that A$$ in as soon as possible.
I searched the web for any information on Terri Schiavo being considered for sainthood. I found nothing, except a couple of blogs that think she should be a saint.
The only authority that could make her a saint is the RCC, and there is absolutely nothing on the web regarding any consideration of her for beatification.
If you have other information, I'd appreciate the links.
Why on earth would anyone move to Florida? Housing prices are too high. Taxes are too high. Homeowner's insurance is too high. There's the risk of hurricanes.
I can't even imagine moving there. Now, I'm only 61, but my choice was to move from California to Minnesota. However, I do have a sister-in-law and her husband who live in Florida. That's very nice, and we visit them for a couple of weeks every year in February.
They don't live in Pinellas County, though. If they did, I don't think I'd go there.
