A lot of publicity about Barak Osama using the Jimmy Carta strategy with Iran. Don’t think that’s going to play well other than with the base. i saw a poll where over 50% think we should attack Iran. Of course Mika and the Carta administration survivors don’t want another success there.

Joe's stated that most of the young Iranians want to be more like us. I agree. Just how leaving the Moolas in charge is going to accomplish that?

I saw a clip of President Bush yesterday finally taking it to Congress for doing what MoveOn.org and Code Pink want instead of what is right. That made Speaker Pelosi have to come out from her hole and respond. My only question is why did it take so long Mr. President?

Happy Friday.

David Hinckley...”Don Imus is returning to radio”...Friday, November 2, 2007...NY Daily News

Don Imus is officially back. Now the real fun begins. Imus remained silent, as he has since April, fueling anticipation about what he will say.

“I think his intent is to let it all out during that first show,” said WABC program director Phil Boyce. “It should make for very interesting radio.”

Imus’ 6a.m-10a.m. WABC show, which will be syndicated nationally, replaces the successful Curtis Sliwa and Ron Kuby show. Boyce said, “The opportunity to get a host like Imus is just something you can’t pass up.”

Imus will be joined by his longtime sidekick Charles McCord. Boyce declined comment on whether controversial producer Bernard McGuirk will be part of the show. There have been reports McGuirk will return at first in a nonspeaking role.

Boyce said Imus should bring more advertising to WABC. Imus’ show reportedly earned up to $20 million at WFAN - almost as much as all of WABC.

Boyce said Sliwa will remain at WABC in an unspecified slot. Kuby said he was told Thursday not to come in Friday.

“Ron Kuby Speaks Out On Imus’ Return To Radio”

Says Imus Was Rewarded For Racial Remark...WCBS TV...

“One of the odder aspects of this is that Imus makes a racist comment, and the damage is done to a civil rights lawyer,’’ Kuby reflected one day after he was canned at WABC-AM, abruptly ending a successful eight-year morning drive-time run.

“He gets my job, and I’m told about the high price he paid,’’ Kuby continued, his voice rising in disbelief. “He’s paid? What about me? The press release ought to say, ‘Ron Kuby has paid a high price for Don Imus’ mistake.’ He gets $20 million, an eight-month vacation and my job.’’

“Perhaps a Boor (or a Bore), but Imus Makes It Work”

NYTimes...
“If, as rumored, he’ll return with a black co-host, maybe he’ll get the contemporary ground rules right next time.”
