I happened across the APL tribute while channel surfing. I gained a lot of respect for the man, his knowledge of animals and preservation, and his strong family commitment. He and his wife Terri (sp?) were struck by love at first sight, and have two beautiful young children.
They have my deepest sympathy and prayers
That's the saddest thing fo all. Terri is never going to be able to find another like him.
Terri's the one I feel the worst for. She worshiped Steve, it was clear and evident, and I can't imagine what she's going through. That he died doing something he loved must be small consolation.
