We need to work to make sure that the party runs a candidate who is for secure borders and the enforcement of immigration law in 08. We also need to work very hard to run Senatorial candidates who believe in secure borders. That failing we need to think hard about forming a third party. I firmly believe that illegal immigration is the gravest threat facing our country today and we cannot afford another 8 years of the status quo on this issue. Our country is being taken over at an astounding rate. In addition to the 12-15 million illegals in this country, you need to consider their birthrate. I live in NC. Go to any elementary school to see how big the problem is. Its stunning how many little Hispanics there are in the lower grades. The majority of students in a lot of places where a decade before you wouldn't have found any. This really lowers the quality of education for everyone else because the teacher has to spend so much time teaching English to kids who come in without any language skills whatsoever. And it drains our coffers to pay for a lot of students whose parents don't pay state taxes. Not to mention the tremendous costs to area hospitals of nonpaying illegals, the cost to area law enforcement of locking up and catching criminal illegals, and a myriad of other costs. We really are running out of time to do anything about this issue. Another four or eight years of inaction (though i'd characterize the administrations policy as more encouragment for illegals than inaction torwards them) and our country will be much further down the path to ceasing to be the America we love and becoming a third world hellhole. Eventually, and I don't know quite when but probably within my lifetime, we will reach a point of no return and will become a shadow of our formerself with a much lower standard of living and accepted values alien to most everyone on this forum.

They said on the news the other day, that minorities ( they specifically said "of Mexican descent") outnumber us in every state in the U.S. except W. Virgina.
Now that is thought provoking.

Good read here: “Although Hispanics are the nation’s largest minority group—14.5 percent of the population according to Census Bureau figures released last week—there is no national museum dedicated to their history.”
