I get internet from my cable provider, but I don't watch network or cable TV. Gave up on it a few years ago.

And the reckless commie filth that passes for "entertainment" in this country ought to get people thrown in jail. But since we can't have everything, we can tax them to death and call it poetic justice. And boycott in the meantime.

I don't either...and therefore certainly don't make the kind of blanket judgement which follows...

I'd rather see you thrown in jail for attempted mindless censorship. I belong to Netflix and I have no trouble finding films which amuse, entertain, elevate, depress, tittilate, educate. Whatever I want.

So who the hell do you think you are to recommend jail for the makers of those films in order to force me to conform to your ideas and tastes? You should be deported.

Directly contrary to your assertion it is capitalist filth - the endless barrage of distortions and outright lies called advertising...and the mindless, lowest-common denominator pablum designed to lure the largest possible audience (potential buyers) - which has ruined network TV, and which will ultimately destroy it.

Luckily, in this country, it is the market which determines what it made and ultimately consumed. First, cable TV with its multiple channels and subscription fees vastly broadened consumer choice...and now companies like Netflix have again increased choice exponentially.

There are limits to what the market can do or should be allowed to do. We don't want to allow child porn or snuff flicks even though they would undoubtedly be profitable. But I certainly don't want someone of your mentality (or lack of) designing the restrictions.
