The beef appears to be, one would actually have to read the article to know what it was about, and not just the headline.

Conservatives are NOT anti-science. But reading some of the foolish 'fly-by-postings' on this thread, I can see why that claim gets perpetuated.

i agree, its all very US versus them.
i fail to see what the problem is. 80kgs of fuel to get to the moon and like one fellow freeper said, we should be blasting these things off throughout the solar system long ago. if it encourages action to return to the moon and go beyond i personally think its a good thing.
we can do this, it just needs focus...and IMHO if we are going to do it right and reduce the cost the sharing of this info and any info is critical..
