Many people seem to be totally vapid about their personal safety and that of their families in the name of shopping, dining and vacationing.
Where I work that gave a rwo hour talk on personal safety and that we are responsible basically for our own survival. Recommendations given to us is to have at least some type of supplies at our desk for at least 3 days with water as well. I have added to that a first aid kit. Have learned to watch the people coming in and out of our building and be aware of what is ging on around me at all times.
