Did anyone see when c-span simulcast the Batchelor and Alexander Show for the whole 3 hours plus all the breaks where they talked "off air"? Memorable. I hope JB comes back louder and stronger.

Yes, I saw part of that C-SPAN show. It sure looked to me that John Batchelor was doing most of the in-studio work, and Paul Alexander was doing a lot of slacking off... LOL!

Paul Alexander wasn't "slacking off." He was writing books and plays and had deadlines that infringed on his doing the show. I saw his play "Edge" off-Broadway, it was brilliant.

I think the show was better with both of them. As I recall, in the beginning they billed themselves as:
one democrat, one republican...
one from the south, one from New England...
one gay, one hetero...
But two friends.

They were both pretty moderate as far as their political views, and sometimes it was hard to tell who claimed to be R and who claimed to be D. I found them to have a tempering effect on each other, and I didn't listen as often after Paul left.
