Dear P-40,as you well know,when we entered the war,we had a lot of P-40s,Brewster Buffalos,P-39 Airacobras....The Navy had the F-4F.The A-2M was"king of the hill"in The Pacific.I think our guys became(were)better pilots.Also,guys like Jimmy Thatch developed better tactics.Eventually(1943),we had the F-4U,and the F-6F,but it was REALLY over for The Empire of Japan after Midway because they had NO way of replacing the four carriers they lost.The"Marianas Turkey Shoot"was the icing on the cak!
