Auburn and Samford universities are among the Top 20 schools where students are most likely to pray on a regular basis. Auburn, Samford and Alabama are among the Top 20 where students are most nostalgic for Ronald Reagan.

Also an interesting comment:

At Alabama, Bruce Barrett is the faculty advisor for College Republicans.

"My general observation at Alabama: I think the student body is more conservative than the faculty," he said. "I think that is probably typical throughout the South."

Well duh. When any typical university has a faculty that is 90% liberal, it isn't very hard to have a mor conservative student body. That isn't just the south. I'm pretty sure there is a higher percentage of conservative students at Harvard, Yale, and Princeton than there are conservative professors.

Ever wonder why the liberals who run universities don't seem to mind that conservatives are way underrepresented?

They are afraid of a dialogue. Deep down, they know their ideas when compared to conservative ideas won't stand up.

It's that simple.

My son is a History major at Louisiana State University. Last semester he had 3 professors who supported President Bush and let the class know that they didn't want to hear anyone say anything disrespectful toward the President. When I heard this I almost fell out of my chair. I was a student at LSU during the late 70's and most of my professors were extremely liberal and ex-hippie's. My son showed me an article in the Daily Reveille, the school's newspaper, which had an opinion on the matter of LSU being predominately conservative.
My, how times have changed at the University.

It would be nice to think we may have a trend starting here.
