I actually haven't got an astronomy ping list, and I don't know how to make one. I guess it involves a Word or Notepad file which is cut and pasted into the "To" field as a reply to the thread. Is that how you do it?

That's a good idea, if you're using whichever OS, because you can put a shortcut (Windows) or alias (Mac) into someplace convenient. I maintain the GGG ping list as a text clipping (this is under Mac OS 9.2.2) and that works nice, because I can just pull it right into the "To:" window without further ado.
