I once spent a weekend with a guy in Recovery for everything. He said it got easier when he took his primary focus off himself. I didn't think much of it until I spent another weekend with another guy in Recovery at a spiritual retreat. He said his struggles are a lot easier when he is serving others.

INDEED.

I have found it so, personally, as well.

That's one big reason I included so many such items in the list.

Sometimes it takes a bit . . . if someone is sooooo depressed that they can't even dress themselves . . . it can take a bit to get out the door or dial the phone to reach out caring for someone else.

BUT IT IS VITAL TO DO SO ASAP.
