4/22 would be lit sunset to sunrise. MIRL stands for "medium intensity runway lights", and yes, those are the runway edge lights. So, 8/26 would not be lit at all, and if LEX is on eastern daylight time (are they? I don't know), it would still be dark at 6:00am.

Also, along taxiway A at the intersection of runway 8/26, there would be big red signs with white lettering that say "8-26" on them.

These are all reasons why the runway 26 scenario is almost inconceivable...but at this point, apparently true.
