Agree, not a lightning strike.

Guess: catastrophic engine failure. However, usually only one engine goes at a time, not two. Unless there was some other system failure.

The Air France crash in Toronto (A340) was caused by a lightning strike on landing.

Modern aircraft have to reset if struck by lighting.
