Oh, I wasn't suggesting that yours was a repost, george76, just linking to another related article.

I thought the article you posted was interesting in particular because it showed the progress of the boat to Galveston - Chesapeake Bay / Florida / ??? / Galveston.... Seems like each article has a little info that the others don't.

One thing I asked on another thread, but haven't seen an answer to, yet - is it standard procedure to have the commissioning ceremony in a location other than where the boat was built / christened?

Seems like they would have the christening ceremony just before they let the boat slide down the rails into the water for the first time. The boat wouldn't be complete then. Later they could have a commissioning when the boat is outfittted and crewed.
