If there is an anti-incumbency mood in the country as the media keeps telling us, why are not Democrat incumbents affected?

Because there are so few of them and they dont control anything. Republicans control Presidency, House, Senate and supposedly the Court.

In the few places where Dems are elected, like the two coasts and in innercity areas, there is only one party. In places like Ohio, IL, PA, and FL, etc Republicans are in bad shape for a variety of reasons.
