But can't tell you how much money we've wasted "lavishing" Giz and Rusty with stuff they could care less about mainly out of guilt for leaving them (guess that's the polish Catholic in me:o)

I just Read Part 2 of your Excellent Adventure, Dave, and I Loved All of it! Lol when I Read, "What shall we do next?" Was the question of the moment. "Let’s go horseback riding!" It took a while, but I was finally able to control my steed…" and then I Saw the Pic of you on the Carousel Horse!

The Purple Heart Monument Pic Put a Lump in my Throat, and the Photos of you and Tonk were Wonderful. (And I Also Loved those Deer in the Headlights Pics!)

I'm glad you enjoyed that ride on the carrousel, KM. I've been riding that merry-go-round since I was a pup. It was first built in 1909. Has quite a history. Each carrousel animal has a name, and my steed is "Warrior".

Join us again next year and we'll once again try to capture the gold ring.

Sorry, I am just now getting here. But better late than never, right?

It's nice that you got to meet up with Tonk, Dave. If we ever get over to the Oregon coast, we will be sure to arrange a get together with him too. All of our trips through Oregon have been straight up I-5. Have never been to the east or west of it.

Thanks for sharing your vacation with all of us. You and Lin made lots of happy memories, visiting family and friends and seeing new places. That's the best part about vacations, I think. :-)

Never been to OR, but have been up in Northern CA a few times, on the coast and the roads east ... really pretty country.

Great travelogue ... Lowell Thomas would've loved it, and been proud.
