Well, the president feels exceptions should be made in cases of rape and I am pleased to stand with him on this.
And if, as you stated, rape so rarely results in conception, then no one should have any concerns about the president's position.
Anyway, we'll have to agree to disagree. That's what the Republican party is all about -- it's a big tent party.
I never have had a problem with the language about exceptions for rape, precisely because I know that it is a near impossibility. In fact, I'd love to see legislation that says all abortions are illegal except in cases of rape. That would suit the right-to-life group nicely.
