Actually, no. Plan B will suppress ovulation, if it has not occurred, but will cause a miscarriage if a life has already been conceived. Which is exactly how the Pill and IUDs work as well. Usually they suppress ovulation, but they also will cause miscarriages.
This is why they are properly called abortaficiants.

This keeps coming up. Hoever, the Plan B website has old information. Newer information that shows that it only works before ovulation was presented to the FDA during the hearings concerning making it over the counter.

In fact, we give progesterone to protect early pregnancies. In natural cycles, progesterone increases after ovulation.
