Exactly. My thoughts is that this is actually a longtime Freeper using a new handle just for this thread. If something happens, he'll proudly identify himself and take full credit. If nothing happens, the Freeper will be able to save face and continue to use his original handle as always. Like you said, no reputation at risk and nothing to lose by putting up this thread.
If he's wrong, he'll go back to using his regular Freepername ... and will pile on this new guy, along with the rest of us.
